1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Palatial, a terminal-based bookstore owned and operated by Nostalgia for Infinity, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our services through SSH or our website at palatial.press, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Description

Palatial provides a command-line interface (CLI) bookstore that allows users to browse, purchase, and receive physical books. All interactions with our store occur through terminal commands.

Our services include:

• Browsing and searching our curated collection of books
• Creating and managing a shopping cart
• Purchasing books via secure payment processing
• Shipping physical books to your designated address
• Order tracking and customer service

3. Account Responsibilities

While you may browse our collection without an account, completing a purchase requires providing accurate contact and shipping information. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete information when placing orders
• Maintaining the security of your payment information
• Ensuring you have the necessary technical knowledge to access our terminal-based store
• Understanding that terminal sessions may be logged for security and troubleshooting purposes

4. Orders and Payments

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to product availability, errors in product or pricing information, or problems identified by our payment and fraud detection systems.

Payment processing is handled securely through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card information on our servers. By placing an order, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to use the designated payment method.

All prices are displayed in USD and do not include taxes or shipping fees, which will be calculated and displayed before checkout.

5. Shipping and Delivery

We ship physical books using reputable carriers to addresses worldwide. Delivery times vary based on destination and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs, postal services, or other factors outside our control.

You are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address. We are not responsible for orders shipped to an incorrect address provided by you.

6. Returns and Refunds

We accept returns within 7 days of delivery only if the book is in its original, unread condition with no signs of use (including but not limited to spine creases, bent pages, or markings). All returns are subject to inspection.

To initiate a return, please contact us at help@palatial.press with your order details. You will be responsible for paying the return shipping costs. Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process your refund to the original method of payment.

Please note that certain items cannot be returned, including:

• Items that show signs of use or damage
• Gift cards
• Items specifically marked as non-returnable

7. Intellectual Property

The Palatial name, logo, terminal interface design, and website content are owned by Nostalgia for Infinity, LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reproduce these materials without our explicit permission.

The books we sell are subject to copyright and other intellectual property rights owned by their respective authors and publishers. We do not grant you any rights to these works beyond the standard rights of ownership of a physical copy.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nostalgia for Infinity, LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the services
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the services
• Any content obtained from the services
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law, and in no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the specific product that is the subject of the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Nostalgia for Infinity, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses arising from or related to your use of our services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Texas for the resolution of any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by updating the date at the bottom of this page or by other means as determined by us. Your continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
